Oficina da Courela aims to promote all forms of culture with special emphasis on its educational and social component. It also develops activities that aim the study and preservation of the environment.

From its formation, It has focused its activities on traditional music and traditional music instruments and its insertion on contemporary culture, by establishing partnerships with other cultural entities in Portugal and abroad.
